Science cannot explain how astrology's ideas are supposed to work.

Perhaps that is a failure of science. Perhaps a social science, such as psychology, has better tools to explain why we made the connections in the first place, between planets, luminaries, and events on Earth.

Here's something I would really like to know: why did Mankind start the process of matching astronomical observations to our Earthly realm? It seems perfectly natural that we would do that…why is it natural? Was it all just an Ego thing?

Modern astrologers often have a little bit of psychology under their belt.  Hasn't it been said that a little bit of knowledge makes a person dangerously confident?


Now I love looking at a horoscope from a psychological p.o.v. just as much as anyone. But don't you agree that it isn't the whole story? Our experiences are sometimes inexplicable. Moments of such magic they can't ever be described.


So I have to ask: amongst the perceived 'collusion' (hateful concept) and the 'enabling' of psychology's personal narrative, where is Nature?  Where are the animals who co-exist with us? Where are the tigers? The koalas? Where are are the majestic elephants? Psychology has no room for elephants. Except for the metaphorical kind which seem to like occupying various rooms whilst appearing not to do so.

Astrology has a legacy of centuries of human behaviour models . It is a God-given predictive system. Earthly bodies contain souls made up of divine numbers, which astrologers attempt to grasp as a whole.

So, as we shift away from the fortune-teller image, we should also not mistake the horoscope as a strictly psychological statement.

Because we are more than our psychology .

It's A Bitch, Britney.

Life has been difficult for the clown pop princess: two children born quickly, a broken marriage, rehab(no, no, no), loss of management, loss of career, and now loss of custody of her children. As astrologers, where do we look in the chart, when loss is featured so heavily in one’s life?

Many astrologers would turn instantly to Neptune, and for good reason. Neptune can dribble away the flow of good things in a person’s life, leaving behind helplessness and despair. Neptune’s transit through the 5th house certainly facilitates the loss of her children.

But let’s think about this for a moment. We are not examining the life of someone who has suffered from the blows of uncaring fortune.  No, Britney Spears’s misfortunes come from herself, from her own actions...

Happy Easter.
I love these guys - ExplorersWeb - and here is their Easter message:

"You know the story. A guy takes his many buddies out to dinner, foots the bill although it costs him his very flesh, and still he's betrayed for money by his best friend. The high priests don't like his inconvenient truths and the regular folks resent his criticizing their bad habits. So he's captured and put to death - even in a choice over a serial killer who is set free! Our man is nailed to a cross and perishes, after which he becomes really famous.

They say that he woke from the dead three days later but while all else makes sense, we are not sure we believe that last part. Morale of story in any case - climbing Everest is dangerous but so is keeping it real. Courage comes in different shapes.

And who's to say what's possible anyways - remember Lincoln Hall's miracle survival on Everest north side last year? Maybe Jesus did resurrect. Which would lead us to the second morale of the story for all you warriors out there: No matter what life throws at you - impossible is nothing.
